The next BEAST activity coming up is the Mayflower M/C rally. For many years we have catered for the club and their visitors at their annual rally. It started at Kingston Ridge where we just cooked hot dogs and hamburgers and provided tea and coffee. But that grew to a much more sophisticated provisioning where we cooked a variety of meals, provided salads and rolls for lunch and of course full English breakfast. We had a short break where the club wanted to go somewhere with indoor facilities and so for a few years we parted company. However, whilst they enjoyed their new venue, the catering facilities they were able to call upon left them dissatisfied and so we up sticks and go to their new venue for that weekend.
This arrangement suits both organisations. They get a wide variety of good quality, well cooked food at a very reasonable cost. BEAST earns enough money from this one event to cover most of our costs for each year. It is of course hard work but it is fun at the same time. This year, it falls on 6/7/8 August.
